Lesley first experienced sciatic pain in 2009. She was told by a family physician that the pain and numbness she was experiencing was due to a “slipped disc” and that it was “not a big deal”.

She suffered for 4 years with sporadic sciatic pain, tiredness, and soreness in her back and then decided to seek support from health practitioners like chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and massage. Although some treatments provided temporary relief, it wasn’t until she started her Katonah Yoga practice in 2017 that everything started to shift in her body. The alignment-based yoga practice taught her how to set up the proper form to reform her body and prevent pain from her scoliosis. She believes that the practice even helped her to improve her scoliosis because, in less than a year of practice, she had gained an inch in height!

Lesley believes that everyone can participate in their own health and wellbeing. It is truly up to each of us to be in the driver’s seat of our life. We each need to gather the right tools and techniques to live more comfortably in our bodies to reach our fullest potential. Lesley is excited to share her journey and techniques with you so that you have the power to live with more joy in your body!
