Yoga Nidra is often referred to as 'yogic sleep'. It is a form of guided meditation that brings you to a state of consciousness between being awake and asleep. A space of total relaxation. It's done laying flat on your back with any pillows, cushions and blankets you'd like for support.

Although it can be useful if you're not sleeping well or have insomnia, it can actually be used to guide you out of the conscious intellectual mind to access your internal subconscious and unconscious world.
