5-minute Banana Chocolate Ice Cream
Bananas are the base of this ice cream. Simply keep frozen banana halves on hand to make this recipe a breeze to prepare or start with store-bought frozen banana slices! Although this recipe is for a chocolate version, the combinations are endless. Here are a few other variations you might want to try!
Strawberry-Banana: Combine 2 frozen bananas + 1/2 cup frozen strawberries + 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Dairy-Free Vanilla Bean: Omit the cocoa powder from the recipe and replace it with 1/2 tsp of Vanilla bean paste
Peanut Butter Chocolate: Add 1-2 Tbsp of peanut butter to the recipe
Recipe Serves 2
Ingredients
3 frozen bananas
1/4 tsp of pure vanilla extract
2 Tbsp of cocoa powder (or to taste)
Optional: splash of almond or oat milk
How to make 5-minute Banana Chocolate Ice Cream
Step 1: In a food processor blend frozen banana and vanilla together until you get a smooth ice cream texture. If it’s difficult to blend, add a splash of milk (1 tbsp at a time).
Step 2: Add cocoa powder and stir until combined.
Step 3: Serve immediately or place in the freezer for 30-60 minutes to firm up more before serving. Optional: top with fresh raspberries or sprinkles.
